Name ………………………………………………………………………….        Class …………………        N° ……

Today, more and more English people in big cities go to work on bicycles. There are many reasons why they prefer to ride to work.

First, bicycles do not need petrol. So they cost less money. Also, they do not need much space on the street because they are small and it is easier to find a place for them. Another reason is that it is good for the health to ride a bicycle : riding bicycles is better than driving because cars make people lazier. When people always drive cars, they become fatter and weaker.

For all these reasons, more and more English people leave their cars at home. But they use them at weekends to go in excursions and pic-nics with their families.
