About Website
Our website is meant to enhance the positive
impacts of music on us. We do not preach anything; we want simply to
raise youngsters' awareness of the huge benefits we can have through
positive music and to draw the attention of adults and mainly parents to
certain disastrous types of music their kids listen to. The researches we made
concerning this topic are of great help and have a highly educational value.
The different rubrics provide important information that can be used both by
students and educators as well and can be a starting point for discussions
and problem-solving debates. Hence, our target audience is is 16 and over.
Technically speaking, we used FrontPage editor to develop our site, some
software like Macromedia Flash, Swish, Adobe Photoshop, HotPot and just one
sound file. Most pictures have been hand-drawn and have a direct
relationship with the content. We did our best to reconcile content
and technique.

Souha
I’m Souha. I was born
in Tebourba on 04-06-1986. I have three
brothers and one sister. I’m studying in Hannabal Secondary
School which is one of the biggest schools in Tunisia. That's why I make
many friends so easily. I love my school as well as
my math and English teachers. Therefore, I’m interested
in math and English subjects.I usually like
reading novels and listening to classical music in my free time; it
helps me to forget my problems. I like listening
to Mozart symphonies and
I wish I'll be a very good and
famous pianist.
Farah
Hi! I'm a "joyful" girl, aged 18. My name is Farah
and it means joy. I love music and it's vital for me to listen to my favourite
singers like Coldplay, Oasis, Placebo, Jeff Beckley, Travis, and Enrique Eglesias.
In my family, we are 6 members : my parents, my brother and my 2 sisters. No
one can imagine how much I love them.
My best friends are Fairouz, Senda and Zeineb. I thank them to bear me despite
my strong character.
I'm very active when I'm motivated, when I'm convinced of what I'm doing.
I'am brillant in my studies and I'am in a special school (the pioneer school)
which accepts only brilliant and hard working students. It is a good experience
for me which has allowed me to meet hundreds of student like me and to learn
to accept others and work more and more to be one of the best students.
I will take my Baccalaureate exam this year (2004-2005) and I wish to have a very
good mark that will allow me to study medicin.
I love arts, all types of arts. Since 2 years, I have taken lessons of
painting. I'm not fond of Vangogh but I admire him very much and try to learn his
techniques. I believe that Vincent Vangogh is the best painter; he painted
the reality as he saw it, he inderstood it, he imagined it.

Primary Coach
I'm Gamra ZENAIDI, married and a mother of two
children, Ala and Ichrak. I've been teaching English at secondary schools in
Tunisia for 19 years. Now, I'm an ICT teacher trainer in CREFOC of Rades,
Tuinsia after a 2-year-course I had in the integration of ICT in education. I
think it helps a lot to be updated in the information technology field and to
use its positive sides into our everyday teaching. That's why I'm thinking right
now of going back to teaching to have the opportunity to practise what I've
learnt and to work with my students on lots of projects.
I'm very interested in collaborative projects mainly those which enhance global
dialogue and understanding. I'm personally engaged in different projects via
internet through e-mail, forum and teleconferencing.
Apart from this, I write poetry and short stories both in English and in French.
I wish I could find more time to manage all the projects I have.

Teamwork
Teamwork Seen by the Students
Hi! We are Together team members.
We want to tell you about our experience with Thinkquest contest.
Indeed, it's our first participation in an inernational competition, and we
can affirm that is a strange and an exciting experience : We have to create
our website. It is a lot of work and different emotions. And no one
can imagine our hapiness and anxiety when the work is "supposed" finished.
Let us show you how we have lived this experience.
In fact, in May, we were contacted by Mrs.Gamra Zenaidi who talked to
us about the Thinkquest competition and invited us to participate. We were
motivated and excited .
Our first meeting took place at our coach's home, on the 15th
of May. We chose together the theme of our website which was "Music".
We were four members. Unfortunately, Mohammed, left the group because he
was not patient. We didn't have any technical knowledge to create the
website. Fortunately, our coach was ready to help us.
The work was fascinating despite the stress and fatigue. We really
enjoyed the two first months (June-July) which were devoted to
Internet search and getting information from some books like "Le
flamenco" of "Maurice Bois". We contacted also the secretary general of the
Higher Institute of Music in Tunis who let us visit their library and
consult books, studies, and memoirs of some students.
During this period, we learnt how to use Internet, how to manage
with ICT tools which will help us in our studies at school. August was very
tiring period because we had to revise all the content, translate it to
French or English, scan photos and pictures, make hyperlinks...etc
Through this experience we have learned to overcome some problems
like the work space; in fact we worked at our coach's home on her computer,
at Raja's home, in CREFOC for search on the Internet and we had somrtimes to
go public Internet centers.
This taught us to be patient and accept others' opinions. We have enlarged
our knowledge and vocabluary and now we pay more attention to what we write
and to our style.
After long hours of hard work, we were ready to edit our website but
we always had new ideas to add or change. These changes were an
opportunity for long and exciting debates which allowed us to understand the
full meaning of collaboration. Each one of us had to do a task like
searching information on Internert or preparing our interviews or correcting
our articles and all this was done in group with our coach who was also our
friend.
In addition, this experience allowed us to discover one another and to
learn how to be more open-minded and more understanding. Indeed,
before this work we didn't have any relationship. Now, we are friends and we
spend time together on laughing and playing
since we met nearly everyday .
Now, the work is finished and we are happy, tired, excited, and
anxious. We want really to thank our coach who was also a team member. She
was with us in all steps of work; she adds ideas, helps us to understand
some information, advises us to perform, encourages us, teaches us how to
use ICT tools like Front Page, Photoshop...She was always ready to sacrifice
her time and also her responsibilities towards her family to help and
motivate us. All this work is a success for us : Having our website.
Teamwork Seen by the Coach
It's my first experience as a primary coach in TQ
competition although I've been coordinating the program in Tunisia for 3
years now. TQ is really an extraordinary
opportunity to learn collaboratively and to use different ICT tools
despite the technical difficulties we meet, mainly due to the absence of
internet connection and a regular work space.
