What is a WebQuest ?

"A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet." from Some Thoughts About WebQuests, by Bernie Dodge. They are intended to make students look for information on the Internet in order to do a particular task. Therefore, they encourage autonomy and independence among language learners. The aim of Webquests is also to have students handle a great deal of information that is meaningful to them.
